These guys are the best at what they do, Phil brings some of the best in the buisness together and just rip's it up all nigth long. But of course this just one mans thoughts but I hope you can agree with me on this friends other than that sound is good music is grate but the jamming is very well some of the best I have seen this band play injoy and peace.

Read this guys awesome story ^ I'd give anything to meet and chat with Phil before seeing him live. And get to request and hear an encore. That stuffs off the hook. Decent show, but the quality isn't all that.

Subject: Meeting Phil & My Broken Arrow
I was working that day in a major bookstore in East Brunswick, NJ, psyched to be going to see Phil & Friends with my girl at the time and others. My shift was just about to end when I spied a strang old bird at the book information table. I was wearing my finest GD tie-dye and he was eyeing me up. I thought he looked very familiar, but there was no way it could be who I thought it was, because I figured he was on his way to work. When this person approached the register, I knew I had to make conversation so I say (the only thing I could think of),"I like your hat. I'm a big Dylan fan." He was (obviously) wearing a Dylan Baseball cap. He replied, "I like your shirt," and pulled out his AMEX card : Phillip Lesh Member Since xxxx
Needless to say I was totally blown away!!! He was very polite and we chatted briefly about the direction the band was going. At the end of our conversation I humbly asked a request for BROKEN ARROW, as my girl and I had a moment with that song in Asbur Park, months earlier. Phil looked at me and we discussed it being a Robbie Robertson song, but that he got the inspiration to play it from Rod Stewart's version. With that Phil just said, "Sometimes Inspiration comes from the strangest of places."
That night there were teases of Broken Arrow which made me happy and you can not imagine my reaction at the encore. The next year Phil opened with Broken Arrow at the Arts Center. All I can say is Thank You Phil, and I cannot say it enough. I Love You More Than Words Can Tell. With much Love and energy -- Captain Freedom
